Participants requiring a visa for entry to Switzerland are strongly advised to make their application in their home country at least two months before the intended date of travel. As visa requirements vary for each country, please contact the nearest Swiss Embassy, Consulate or travel agency for more information. In addition, those who do not fly directly to Switzerland should note that a transit visa might be required for some countries in order to continue their travel to Switzerland.

If a letter of invitation is needed for the visa application, the Conference Secretariat can send this upon request after you have registered and payment for the registration fee has been received.
When contacting the Secretariat, please provide a scanned copy of your passport along with the following information:
- First name
- Last name
- Date of birth
- Place of birth
- Passport number
- Date of Issue
- Date of Expiry
- Issuing Authority
- Telephone number
- Purpose of trip (i.e., to attend Tech4Dev 2014, Switzerland)
- Duration of stay
