Landscape of the Swiss scientific collaboration with Latin America

 

The Round Table: « Exploration of bilateral cooperation: Landscape of the Swiss scientific collaboration with Latin America » held on 9 September 2014 at EPFL gathered 90 participants including Swiss researchers, representatives of Swiss research and academic institutions, the Mission Heads of several embassies of Latin American countries in Switzerland, and other relevant stakeholders.

The results of the mapping study of the scientific and academic links between Switzerland and Latin America were presented at this occasion. The Round Table served as an exchange platform on existing and potential forms, strengths and areas of collaboration.

Through the exploratory activities, five countries, namely Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, stood out in particular thanks to the intensity of their existing collaborations with Switzerland and their potential scientific bilateral collaboration capacities and strengths.
